MA-KIT

For the individual equipment of 5B modules BMC Messsysteme GmbH offers the construction kit MA-KIT which is in type of construction and pin assignment compatible to the 5B module series. Included e. g. is a blank board with through-hole and SMD pads that can be equipped conventionally as well as with SMD components.

That means that with MA-KIT even very specific applications can be realized. Numerous functions may be integrated which can be set by means of 8 DIP switches and 4 potentiometers. In addition, basic functions are included on the board selectable by closing solder bridges on the underside of the module.

An SMD fuse (0,375A) protects the module against overload.

The pin assignment corresponds with the 5B modules of Analog Devices, Inc. and Burr-Brown, however an additional 0EX pin has been introduced.
If the assembled 5B module is used in backplanes of Analog Devices, Inc. or Burr-Brown, this pin will have to be removed.
