AN3001: CANDLE MOULDING MACHINE

On the market, moulded candles are usually hard to find, because handmade production is expensive. The high school students Martin Leibenger and Peter Janacik wanted to automatize this process and invented a machine that moulded candles in different shapes and colors controlled by a computer. The measurement of temperature, the display of filling-level and tumbler angle required a high measurement accuracy.

In 1998, at the federal competition "Jugend forscht" ("Youth does research"), the high school students from castle Neuhaus won the second price for his invention.
